What You Need to Know About Kidney Stones

Passing a kidney stone is said to be some of the most intense physical pain a person can feel.

Treatment of Kidney Stones:

There are many ways to handle it until imaging scans indicate the existence of a kidney stone.
If the patient can't pass the stone because the stone is simply too heavy, so there are some procedures that can break it up that are minimally invasive.

The most popular procedure uses a scope through the kidney through the bladder and up the ureter, where the stone is shot, breaking it into dust with a laser.

The second approach involves sound waves to break up the stone, which is typically the patient's simplest, but not all stones are perfect.

A treatment known as percutaneous nephrolithotomy is the third process, and it is used for very large kidney stones. A slight incision in the back of the patient is made in this situation, and a surgeon uses a scope to extract stones directly from the kidney.

Capturing the stone:

It recommends attempting to catch the stone for examination for those patients who go through their kidney stones without surgery.

It's a smart idea to strain your urine while you're moving a stone at home.

Stones that you believe have gone, but if they remain there for an extended time, they will not do a lot of harm to the body.

Blockage and infection together make the stone act like an abscess, and people can become critically ill and can even die in that scenario.

Preventing the Kidney Stones:

Often, adding citrates to your diet by changing the acidity of your urine, as seen in lemons, limes, and oranges is useful for avoiding kidney stones. Drink some lemonade if you want to drink anything other than water!

Urological Differences Between Men and Women

Urology has become one of the growing fields of medical and research science. Catheterization and continence are the two urology aspects which are affecting million of people in all over the world every day. The urological system of women’s and men’s are very much different and the symptoms and causes are based on personal anatomy.
The functioning way of urinary catheters of men and women is mostly the same to drain the urine from the bladder, but the design of the catheter is very different in both men and women. In men, a urinary catheter is inserted through men’s personal part, but in women, the catheter application is based on bladder position which changes every time with obesity, age, childbirth etc.

Incontinence is the inability to control urinary function. These types of incontinence vary between women and men. If the urinary incontinence is not normal, then it is symptomatic of urological issue.

Gender Based Common Types of Incontinence and Reason are:

Stress Incontinence: This is the most common types of urological problem found in women. These generally occur during childbirth or pregnancy. This problem leads to weak pelvic muscles and put external pressure on the bladder. When the pressure goes to the bladder during running, sneezing, laughing and coughing, it leads to leakage of urine from the bladder.

Urge Incontinence: Overactive bladder is known as urge incontinence. There are many reasons behind this like cancer in uterus, strokes, prostate, urological nerve damage and bladder inflammation are the little one. In this problem, the patient feels to urgent need to urinate or not able to urinate.

Mixed Incontinence: Mixed incontinence means the combination of both stress and urge incontinence. Its symptoms lies under both incontinence forms.

Temporary Incontinence: The type of incontinence is occurred due to fewer medical treatment, medication, surgery and infection, but this problem has been solved within a short period.

Overflow Incontinence: This type of incontinence problem occurs when someone not able to empty the bladder. They always feel to urinate within a short period of time. This has happened due to weak bladder muscles, kidney stone problem and if a person having kidney stones. The common cause of overflow incontinence in men is due to blocking of urethral and enlarged prostate, which affects the person when they are over the age of 50.

Every incontinence problem mentioned here can be treated. But for that a person need to consult with a doctor. He/she should not hesitate while concerning with the urological doctor and start taking medical treatment according to doctor prescription. Otherwise, these problems can lead a person to death if not solved at the starting age.
