Most of the time, we listen that women suffer from urological problems like incontinence and bladder infections. Whereas men may also suffer from these problems more often than you think. If the problem is severe enough, it can affect a man’s dignity, confidence and quality of life. Below are the reasons, a man should consult to a urologist:

2. Urinary Tract Infection: Urinary tract infection occurs when a man experiences painful urination or cloudy urine. Firstly, a urologist will test the urine to make sure it is a UTI and rule out other problems, and in most cases, prescribe a round of antibiotics.
3. Prostatitis: Prostatitis is an infection in the prostate. The Symptoms are fever and chills; painful urination; and pain in the abdomen, pelvic area, or lower back. A urologist will do tests to determine if this is the cause of symptoms & if similar to a UTI, then the urologist will most likely prescribe antibiotics.
4. Enlarged Prostate: Although more problematic for older men, this condition is fairly common. An enlarged prostate can push on the bladder, causing incontinence; men may experience the urge to urinate frequently or leaking urine. They may also struggle with urinating. Treatment for an enlarged prostate may include medications or surgery.
5. Infertility: Another bigger urological problem for a man is infertility, means man has trouble conceiving children. A urologist will diagnose the cause of infertility and help to create a treatment plan. Treatment for infertility depends on what is causing it.
